This ring was designed by Debra Borders, Crown Jewelry of Altus, Oklahoma. The ring was designed with a very special couple in mind. After 5 years of marriage, Cory told Amanda to proceed with the search for the ruby she had dreamed of since the day they were married. They looked for the perfect ruby but never found exactly what they had in mind. At last, Crown Jewelry came up with the one of her dreams, a 1.41 carat ruby with triangular facets to reflect the color of the beautifully deep red stone. After looking at many other choices, the 1.41 stone was perfect. After the selection of the stone, came the choice of styles. Amanda imagined a scalloped edge around the pear shaped ruby and 14kt rose gold with diamond accents on the halo and down each band. The renderings were tweaked many times getting it just perfect for this petite mother of two. Amanda was patient, even when the family had to relocate to a new AF base during the actual designing of this ring. She was so sure she had found just the right place for the design of her ring in Crown Jewelry of Altus, Oklahoma, that she proceeded with drawings on napkins, many texts and phone conversations to arrive at her long dreamed of design. FINALLY, this beautiful set was designed for Amanda, her dream ring that was created as a result of patience and persistence. She cried tears of joy upon receiving her ring.
